From the Winter 2008 Ripon College Magazine Obituaries section:

George E. Hansche '35 of Albuquerque, NM, died May 20. He was born in Racine, WI. At Ripon he studied physics, chemistry, and mathematics and was a member of Theta Sigma Tau. He earned his doctorate in physics at Ohio State University. After a year teaching at Rose Poly in Terre Haute, IN, he returned [Ed. note: returned?] to Albuquerque to work for Sandia National Laboratories for the rest of his career. He enjoyed traveling and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Helen, and two sons.
