The Doorway to Room 106

Above the doorway to Room 106 some cryptic words were once stenciled (click the image to see a larger version in a separate window). Does anyone know who put the words up there? Is there a story to tell?

Until the renovation of Mapes Hall in the early 2000s, the words were still there, along with the signatures of some of the residents of that room. Supposedly this piece of the doorway was removed by a member prior to renovation, but no one at present seems to know what became of it.

Members who signed their names to this section of doorway (traditionally only members who lived in this room for at least one year) include: Karen "Fred" Derf, Dan "Ho Cakes" Nagel, Patti "Speed Queen" Beck, Drew "Wanky Shank the Naughty Jew" Rich, Matt "Shakes the Clown" Larson, and Amanda "Bubbles" Arloro.

The blue wires you see are the 'oh-so-professionally-installed' ethernet cables that were put in in the late 90s when the college wired the building for internet. We can hope that those are now inside the walls, as they should be, now that the building has been renovated.
