The relics of Theta Sigma Tau Formal Glasses
Beginning in 1990, the House began having commemorative glasses made for Spring Formal. All actives and their dates would get one and alumni and other attendees could purchase one. Leftover glasses could be purchased by those who might wish to have two or more or those who had been unable to attend.
Regrettably, the House did not institute a policy of keeping at least one of each year's glasses in a collection to be kept at the House. The image to the right is from the collection belonging to Pete Plenz Lenz (89). It contains one of each glass from 1990 - 2006.
Below are thumbnails of the glasses from various years. Clicking on a thumbnail will cause a new window to open with a larger version of the image. The collection of images is complete, there was no formal glass from the Spring Formal of 1994.

| From 1990, the first Formal Glass. This was a simple coca-cola style glass with just text on it. All subsequent glasses would bear either the House Crest or a stylized version of the crest. |
| |
| From 1991, a small brandy snifter with a very faithful reproduction of the current crest. |
| From 1992, a white wine class with a twisted stem and the same crest as in 1991. The image and writing washes off in soapy water, so there are pretty much for looking at rather than use and even rarer than those of other years. |
| |
| From 1993, a coffee glass and the same crest as in 1991. Like the 1992 wine glass, the image and writing washes off in soapy water, so there are pretty much for looking at rather than use and are somewhat more rare than the other glasses. |
| From 1995, a small wine glass with a redrawn version of the current crest, the proportions are a bit different (elongated shield, longer, thinner drapery) but the elements of the image are the same. |
| |
| From 1996, a large, straight-sided shot glass with a redrawn version of the current crest, the same as the 1995. |
| From 1997, a tall zombie glass with a somewhat crudely drawn version of the current crest, the proportions are very different and the yin-yang symbol is absent. |
| |
| From 1998, a larger brandy snifter than the one in 1991. This is another redrawn crest, similar to the one from 1997, but reintroducing the yin-yang symbol. |
| From 1999, a pint glass with gradations up to 13 ozs. on the back. The crest on this glass is the one used in 1995 and 1996. |
| |
| From 2000, a tall pilsner with silver used for the lettering and crest. This is the crest used in 1998, but is very small. These were to have been shot glasses, but the vendor screwed up the order. Happily, the House only had to pay for what the shots would have cost. |
| From 2001, a black shot glass with the lettering and crest in white. The crest on this glass is the original one used in 1991, but slightly elongated. |
| |
| From 2002, a handled beer mug. The crest on this glass is a stylized version of the crest without the helmet, crown or drapery, and missing two of the five stars. |
| From 2003, a brandy snifter, small like the 1992 glass, with red lettering and crest. The crest on this glass is another stylized version that attempts to reincorporate all of the elements lost in the 2002 glass, however, one of the stars is completely obscured by a wing of the phoenix. |
| |
| From 2004, a shot glass AND a cocktail glass, both with the crest and lettering in red. This crest is the same as the one used in 2003. |
| From 2005, a champagne flute with a black base and twisted black stem and lettering and crest. The crest on this glass is the same as that used in 2003. |
| |
| From 2006, a pilsner with the crest and lettering in black. This crest is the same as the one used in 2002. |
| A stemless martini glass with the crest on one side and the print on the other. The crest was again the one used in 2002 and 2006. |
| |
| In 2008 a boot-shaped glass was selected by the House. The crest used here is based upon the artwork used to create the Challenge Coin in 2006. |
