The relics of Theta Sigma Tau Tau-Opoly
This is a new relic, Tauopoly. It was presented to the House by members of the Alumni Association at Activation in the Spring of 2003.
Tau-opoly is set up very much like Parker Brother's Monopoly game, but all of the "properties" represent locales or objects of interest to the members of Tau. For example, Boardwalk is now The Lounge and Park Place is now The Library. The railroads have been replaced by various parties held throughout the year, and so on. The Chance cards have been replaced by "Luck of a Tau" cards and Community Chest has been replaced by Tau Trivia cards. These latter replicate many of the questions asked of pledges during Tau Trivia. Click on any of the images below to open a new window with a close up of that quadrant of the board.
The inscription on it reads:
Presented to Theta Sigma Tau at Spring Activation 2003
A gift from the Alumni Association
Conceived of by Peter & Viola Lenz (89/02)
Created with the cooperation and invaluable assistance of:
Amanda Bright (00), Brook Compton (01), Christine Darimont (05), SaraH Hoffman (02), Daven Howard (96), Richard Kimpel (97), Alexia Natkin (01), Tricia Roll (02), and Darlene Wulf (03)."
All of the above listed people also signed the board in various locations.
Already some of the locations on the board are getting a bit dated. When time permits, we will add a list of explanations of each of the "properties." Until then, if you're desperate to know what one of them is, use the "Contact" menu item and ask.
