CENTENNIAL SCRAPBOOKS

One of the goals of the Centennial Committee was to arrange for scrapbooks to be made up that cover as much of the history of the House as possible. To that end we made use of the Ripon College Archives, various Crimsons, members' scrapbooks and photos, and anything else we could get our hands on, along with stories and oral histories and recollections from members and alumni. While the accuracy may not be 100% in some places, the effort was done in earnest to

The result will be a 100 page Centennial Book (the "Big Book of Tau") and a number of decade and partial decade books. One copy of the Big Book will be gifted to the College for their archives and a second copy will be gifted to the House. Additional copies of the Big Book will be available for purchase, but the cost may limit interest in it.

However, under the premise that some alumni and members might be interested in having portions of the Big Book that apply to their time at Ripon, a number of smaller books, based on the contents of the Big Book are also to be available to those who are interested. The plan is for a decade book for the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. If there is interest and sufficient photos available other books might be constructed.

A copy of The Big Book of Tau as well as copies of the smaller decade books will be available for perusal at the Centennial Reunion in June.

The process of creating the Big Book is still ongoing, but the 1980s and 1990s Decade books are complete. Because of the large number of photos available from those eras, two "Half-Decade" 80s books and three "Third-Decade" 90s books are also available.

Books are available in 11"x8.5" hardcover format and 5"x7" softcover format. Below are links to a series of Facebook images showing what is available in each of the completed books.
